STANDARD SIZE CHAMBER

The chamber is constructed through-out from 316 stainless steel and consists of two cells:

The working cell (1000L x 980W x 720H)

The loading cell (460 Diameter x 600L)

The two cells are separated from each other by a circular hinged door fitted with a silicone rubber seal, and secured by a single four spoke wheel, easily accessible by the operator from inside the working cell.

The working cell has a single full width door at one end sealed by a silicone rubber seal and secured by sixteen over-centre clamps. The door is hinged on twin double pivot Stainless steel hinges fitted with dry-film bearings.

The loading cell is attached to the opposite end of the working cell to the main door.

The Cylindrical loading cell is equipped with a curved sliding tray for loading components into the main cell.

The circular loading cell outer door is horizontally pivoted and lifts up to an open position counterbalanced by twin gas struts. The door is sealed by a silicone rubber seal and is secured by four over-centre clamps.

The working cell is fitted with two clear laminated glass observation windows (800L x 260H x 6.5mm) angled at 5° to the vertical. Each window is fitted with a sliding (shade ten welding filter glass) allowing the operator to work without a conventional helmet.

Lighting is provided by two twin tube fluorescent light boxes fitted above clear laminated glass windows (800L x 140W x 4.5mm) situated in the top of the chamber.

The operator is provided with 200 dia.x 800 long lightweight Neoprene gauntlets.

Purging is achieved by exhausting the air with a Gast regenerative air pump whilst introducing Argon gas at flow rates of 10 cfm.

Chamber pressure is controlled at atmospheric by a Dwyer differential pressure gauge.

Oxygen levels during purging are measured by a V.B.C OMI self-calibrating purge monitor.

• Internal R.S socket for remote operation of welding turntable
